Why is Charity Important to Us?
We believe that every child needs a little bit of magic in their life, no matter where they are from or what they are going through. We are in the unique position of being able to spread that sort of magic around where it is needed the most. We are privileged to be able to use our gifts and skills to make lives a little better and show children that there is something else, something beautiful in the world.
It has been said that with great power comes great responsibility. We have talented performers, amazing costuming, and the ability to make a child smile. We don’t have great power… But we still have great responsibility. We cannot be selfish with what we have. This is how we give back.
How Our Princesses Give Back
We do our charitable work in two main areas, and are always looking for opportunities to make a difference.
The first area we cover with a rather broad brush. Our princesses attend awareness events, fundraisers, benefits, and charity walks. Their mere presence at these events can generate awareness for a cause, get press attention, and draw in more supporters. By operating at the “big picture” level, we both entertain attendees and get the word out there. We have been told time and time again just how important this sort of work is.
The second area is more personal, and no less important: visits to individual children. These are done without the press or public in mind. We visit the bedsides of terminally ill children, or those going through debilitating illness or treatment. We cannot stress enough just how important it is for these kids to see even a flash of light in the darkness. We really want to be part of what brings it to them.
We are constantly trying to expand the scope of our charitable works, and we have a lot that is just on the horizon. We have already started to schedule visits for entire hospital wards and are looking into even more ways to help and give back some magic where it is needed.
